2003 Tax Season Thank You
Karl E. Firor CPA
The team at Firor & Company CPAs would like to thank you for making this past tax season one of the most successful and encouraging in many years! As expected, the past few months required many long hours, but the time passed quickly. The goals we set as a team were accomplished and some even surpassed our expectations.
We would like to announce that one of our team members, Jon Scheer has officially retired for the accounting business and has been accepted into Directing School in Vancouver. Jon will be starting his new venture this September and we wish him well and best of luck in his new career. We will be interviewing for a replacement for Jon in the coming months and will notify you when the process is complete.
Now that April 15th has passed, we will be focusing our efforts on client education as well as expansion of our services. Our web based newsletter is one area we will be utilizing more frequently in the coming months. Please visit our new website homepage at www.denver-accounting.com.
During client meetings, we have become aware of a variety of issues that need to be addressed in depth. The newsletter will focus on these topics with the goal of providing our clients with more knowledge and a clearer understanding of issues, and changes to existing laws. A few of the areas we will address are:
- Filing Extensions
- Estimated Tax Payments
- Income Tax Penalties
- Mileage Rates (37.5 cents per mile for 2004)
- New Business
- Self Employment Taxes
- SUV Tax Breaks
- U.S. Citizen Abroad
- Vacation Home
- Vehicle Registration
If there is a particular area of interest that you would like to have more information, please let us know and we will do our best to include it in a future newsletter.
Your trust in Firor & Company CPAs is greatly appreciated and we will continue to do all that we can to keep your confidence in us.
Karl E. Firor – President
